i loved it…!
However there is a big political mistake in this cartoon:
- Hidjabs are not a problem except inside the school itself, and in any case girls do go to school, they have to, it is compulsory for all of them – however, if they want to go to state schools , they have to conform to the rules ; otherwise they can choose other schools.
- and it is not islamophobia, it is the rule of the Secular Republic – a rule for all, as crosses, kippas and the rest of religious outfits are not allowed either inside the premices of the schools. It has been so since 1906, i.e. at a time when the problem of Muslims in France was really totally unknown.

It is the propaganda of fundos that made the world believe that secular laws are against Islam and Muslims.

I must also tell you that women from Muslim origin in France (mostly North Africans and some Iranians) massively and openly stood for secular laws that forbid to veil girls under age 16 in state primary and secondary schools ( for that is all there is to it) . We all think it takes care of the mental health of girls not to be forced to conceive of themselves as responsible -as children – for men’s lust and sexual violence …
